The Bachelor of Arts Accountancy Degree programme comprises a 4-year undergraduate degree program. The programme provides a comprehensive insight into the principles of accounting and is the ideal foundation for a wide range of professional roles. It is a complete package that aims at ensuring academic excellence in the area of Accountancy. It seeks to develop the skills of accounting professionals in a measured way that reflects the values of public interest and a wider concern for the reputation and standards of the Zambia Catholic University.

The overall educational aims of the Bachelors of Arts Accountancy Degree of The Zambia Catholic University in relation to Academia, Industrial, Professional and Societal needs as follows;

• To develop the students` confidence, critical thinking, analytical skills, decision making skills and communication skills in respect to accounting in order to meet their educational and career needs.
• To equip students with knowledge and skills which help them to carry out accounting roles in the areas of financial reporting, financial management, Auditing, management Accounting, taxation and consultancy effectively.
• To uphold high ethical standards which include integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, professional behaviour as well as exercising due skill and care as they handle financial statements of different clients.
• To develop awareness and appreciation for social and ethical responsibilities at societal and global levels.
