The Master of Arts (MA) in Peace and Conflict Studies is intended to allow students to see how attempts to manage conflicts and promote coexistence, mutual understanding, and peace processes actually develop and take root.
The programme focuses on conflict management and provides students with;
- Practical tools in the fostering of peace processes.
- It provides students with broad competence and special knowledge of how to moderate conflict and build peace and justice.
- It helps students to foster a civil societal environment
- It teaches the holistic and sustainable peace initiatives that empower students with the practical skills, research and knowledge they need to help with nonviolent peace building initiatives.
- It combines learning with action to give scholars the necessary tools for understanding conflict and contributing to its resolution.
- It will provide platforms for the students to attend workshops such as Peacemaking Circles, Understanding Conflict, Narrative Mediation, and Mediating Groups in Dispute.
- Students will work with the community of students around them as well as the faculty members.
- At giving wide range of questions about the causes of conflicts and the conditions for peace.
